MARIO KART WII MAY 18 08 B, This morning some guy was noisily revving his mtorcycle in a parking lot for about 45 minutes and I couldnt sleep It reminded me of two things: That its a downright waste of increasingly expensive gasoline or petrol if you prefer to call it that and that I was going to upload some races with the inward drifting bikes on Manual Sorry that YouTube threw the quality of this video right out the second story window Heres something I was meaning to do in a while which is to make a video of me using some of the various inward drifting bikes on Manual As far as I know there are no karts that do this just bikes and its impossible to tell whether they drift inward or outward simply by looking at their stats I also dont really know how to use these things so much so I struggle with them in a way no one else seems to Race #3 Bowsers Castle For this one I picked a popular choice among competitive people the Magikruiser and I put Koopa Troopa on it This is apparently the vehicle of choice among the lightweight characters though for reasons Im still not sure why as Ive yet to find anything other than statements like Use the Magikruiser I spent the whole time resisting the urge to Mini Turbo around every turn and to constantly remind myself to turn the other way once I begin drifting I also run into the inside walls a lot Good thing I wasnt playing Rainbow Road Race #4 GBA Shy Guy Beach I looked at the Magikruisers stats and saw that its Drift rating is pretty low and I thought it might not be a good example of an inward drifting bike So here I switched to the Mach Bike which is THE popular choice for the people with very high VRs The choice of Yoshi is simply because I like the noises he makes That first corner I make in the race is what usually happened the last time I tried to use the Mach Bike on Manual After that I was afraid to drift at all for the rest of the race Race #5 Maple Treeway And thirdly I decided to use the Quacker simply because its my favorite of the bikes to look at I used Toad because I havent used him much lately I think Im starting to get the hang of these things though I think you can still tell by looking that I was still playing very cautiously Using these bikes felt like learning how to control in this game all over again The first time I tried one of these things on Manual I couldnt figure out what to do with them at all Looks like you need to approach them far differently than you would an outward drifter and especially a kart: The biggest differences are that you must constantly adjust your steering as you drift with these things and that youd best begin drifting as you reach the corner instead of long before it Theres still a lot more I need to figure out about these bikes but I see it that you arent truly a great Mario Kart Wii player until you understand how to use every vehicle in the game
